Fred was of Boston; Henry and his wife, Lydia, were of Rockland. Frederick and Charlotte had a daughter, Olive, who married Leslie Wilson of Port Clyde who ran the store which was started by Ebenezer Crie.1

Freeman Hall was one of the outstanding figures in the life and development of the community. He held every office that it was possible for the planation to bestow upon him. He was one of the first assessors and the first town clerk, an office which he held for twenty years. He was also the first postmaster, as well as a successful merchant. He died at the age of 80 years and to the last was actively interested in public affairs. Freeman Hall was born on 17 February 1800 in Matinicus Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He was a grandson of Ebenezer Hall Jr and Susannah Young.1
